Ya tocaba bajar al sur, a esa Italia tan diferente de aquella central o la que colinda ya geográficamente y en muchas cosas más con Europa Central. El sur es, como ocurre en España, puro Mediterráneo, con todo lo que conlleva. Testigos de civilizaciones y conquistas, con una riqueza paisajística, cultural, gastronómica y artística inigualable. Gente hospitalaria, socarrona, supersticiosa, leal, irónica, con una mezcla de optimismo y fatalismo. Esta es una guía que como siempre hago ajustada a mi visita, sin añadir nada y por tanto incompleta. Cada uno tendrá que adaptarla al tiempo disponible e investigar todo lo que ofrece. En mi caso eran sólo dos días y sólo en \u003Cb\u003ENápoles \u003C\/b\u003Epero añadiré sugerencias para aquellos afortunados que tengan más días o que vayan a volver. Llevaba una guía de lujo, nacida allí, así que con la información adecuada y planificando bien puedes ver lo imprescindible al menos. Si lo hacéis como yo desde otra zona de Italia, podéis con el tren de alta velocidad llegar desde Roma en una hora o desde Florencia en dos horas. La estación está cercana al centro histórico (\u003Cb\u003ECentro Antico\u003C\/b\u003E), por lo que si reservas un alojamiento cerca como hice yo tendrás muchas de las actividades y visitas a pocos minutos andando o en metro. El circuito (con guía en varios idiomas) incluye la visita a una de las casas de la época tal cual estaba y donde debajo de una cama se ocultaba una trampilla para acceder a unos bajos que se usaban como escondite, para contrabando, refugio e incluso garaje y que los dueños nunca supieron que lo que lo rodeaba era en realidad un teatro romano. Así es Napoli, con gente haciendo su vida diaria a unos metros por encima de un foro romano sepultado por el tiempo pero no por el olvido.
